Special Program for Acquiring Teaching Proficiency

The Teaching Proficiency certification program of the Polytechnic School aims at the understanding of educational practices of undergraduate students who wish to work in education.

In order to obtain proficiency, it is required: – the successful completion of eight (8) courses (2 ECTS/course) – the preparation of two (2) Practical Exercises which are carried out in selected Elementary and High Schools and are implemented in two semesters (the first semester is observation and the second active teaching)

The Internship can only be carried out after completing 5 years of study and can only be declared if the student has successfully completed their obligations in the eight courses provided and lead to the necessary pedagogical training. Free-choice courses correspond to two (2) ECTS credits/course and each internship to four (4) ECTS credits. The students participating in the specific program choose courses in addition to the 300 credits (ECTS) required to complete the undergradua The “Pedagogical and teaching proficiency” program corresponds to a total of 24 ECTS credits.
