The School of Engineering of the University of Thessaly in collaboration with the Regional Department of the Technical Chamber of Greeece (TEE) in Magnesia organized a scientific meeting on the topic “Effects and management of flood phenomena from the storms Daniel and Elias in the built environment”, on Wednesday January 31, 2024, time 6:00pm – 9:30pm, in the packed auditorium of TEE in Volos.

The aim of the evening was to analyze the effects of the recent extreme weather events that hit Thessaly in September 2023 and to present management measures aimed at repairing the damage and strengthening the resilience of the region’s infrastructure and environment. Students and researchers of the University of Thessaly, engineers, scientists, professionals and residents of the Thessaly Region were present at the event.
